A residence permit for individuals in an irregular situation in Spain who commit to completing specific professional training.
The Arraigo Socioformativo (formerly Arraigo para la Formación) is a Spanish temporary residence permit for non-EU nationals who have lived irregularly in Spain for at least two years and commit to an accredited vocational or secondary training program.
The permit lasts 12 months, renewable for a second year if training continues. Holders may work up to 30 hours per week from the date the TIE card is issued. On completing the program, the permit converts to a standard work and residence authorization.
This visa is ideal for undocumented non-EU residents in Spain who want a structured, merit-based route to legal status through professional training.
