Residence permit for human trafficking victims cooperating with police investigations, valid for up to one year and renewable while legal proceedings continue.
Norway's Trafficking Victim Limited Permit is a humanitarian residence permit for presumed trafficking victims cooperating with police investigations. The permit is issued by the Directorate of Immigration (UDI) based on police confirmation that the applicant's presence is necessary for criminal proceedings or investigation into their trafficking case.
The permit lasts up to one year and is renewable while investigation or court proceedings continue. A separate six-month reflection period (non-renewable) helps victims break free from traffickers. Work authorization and inclusion of dependent children are permitted. Applicants submit form GP-7028 with police confirmation. No application fees apply.
This visa is ideal for survivors of human trafficking in Norway who are cooperating with law enforcement to secure justice against their traffickers.
