Work permit visa for foreign professionals with Bachelor degree and 3+ years experience, valid up to 2 years and renewable.
The LĐ2 is Vietnam's primary work visa for foreign professionals. Issued under Law No. 47/2014/QH13 and the Labor Code, it requires a formal Work Permit from MOLISA. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree and have at least three years of work experience. The employer must first obtain work permit approval before visa processing can begin.
The visa permits two years of work and is renewable. Employment is bound to the sponsoring employer and approved role. Spouses cannot work. Dependents may accompany the visa holder. Processing occurs in two phases: work permit approval (approximately 10 working days) followed by visa stamping at an embassy or consulate (5-7 working days).
This visa is ideal for skilled professionals and technical experts in engineering, IT, education, or management who have secured employment with a Vietnamese company.
