Thailand's Non-Immigrant ED visa provides international students with legal residency to pursue studies at accredited educational institutions. This visa bridges short-term tourism and permanent residency, enabling enrollment in university degree programs, intensive language courses, or vocational training while maintaining government oversight of student status.

Initial stay is 90 days, extendable up to one year per education program, with mandatory 90-day immigration reporting required. The 2,000 THB fee applies; dependents may be included, though spouses cannot work. Renewable while enrolled, but does not grant work authorization.
