Residence permit for entrepreneurs and self-employed persons establishing or running a business in Slovakia. Requires credible business plan and financial evidence.

The business residence permit allows foreign entrepreneurs and self-employed persons to establish and operate businesses in Slovakia. As of July 1, 2025, all applicants must submit a business plan that the Ministry of Economy will evaluate for economic benefit. The applicant must demonstrate active participation in the business - passive ownership is not sufficient.
