Romania's Long-Stay Digital Nomad Visa (D/DN) is a national long-stay permit issued under OUG 194/2002 (Law 22/2022) by Romanian diplomatic missions. It targets non-EU remote workers earning income from a company registered outside Romania or from their own foreign-registered company via ICT.
Applicants must show monthly income of at least three times Romania's gross average salary for each of the last six months and for the visa period. The fee is 120 EUR; the visa is granted for 90 days with multiple entries. On arrival, holders obtain a residence permit from the General Inspectorate for Immigration, renewable in annual blocks. Decisions typically take 30 days, extendable by 15.
