The Diplomatic Visa (Diplomática) is a high-level entry authorization established by the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in accordance with international diplomatic conventions, such as the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. It fills the gap of providing legal status and necessary privileges to foreign government representatives assigned to diplomatic missions in Peru. This visa is intended for foreign diplomats, heads of state, and high-ranking government officials accredited to Peru. The ideal applicant holds a valid diplomatic passport and is supported by a Note Verbale from their sending government or international organization, which formally requests the accreditation.
