Immigration New Zealand's temporary entry visa for travellers coming for tourism, family visits, or short-term study of up to three months. Applicants must be in good health and character, have genuine reasons for visiting, and show they can leave at the end of their stay.
NZD 441 application fee plus the NZD 100 International Visitor Levy where it applies. Most decisions land in 4 working days and 80% within 2 weeks. INZ grants either a multiple-entry visa (6 months per 12-month period) or a single-entry visa (up to 9 months), capped at 9 months in any 18 months. Partners and dependent children can be included; only remote work for an overseas employer is allowed.
This visa is ideal for short-term tourists, people visiting friends or family, and travellers undertaking a short course of study in New Zealand.
