The Namibia Transit Visa is designed for foreign nationals who need to pass through Namibia while en route to a third country. It is specifically intended for travelers whose journey requires them to exit the international transit area of an airport or border post, or whose layover exceeds the standard 24-hour window. This visa ensures that travelers can legally enter and remain in Namibia for a short, defined period—typically up to 72 hours—before continuing their journey to their final destination.

This permit is ideal for international travelers with connecting flights or land-based transit who need to clear immigration for logistical reasons. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate their intent to leave the country by providing proof of onward travel, such as a confirmed flight ticket or travel itinerary. Additionally, applicants may be required to show that they hold the necessary entry documentation for their final destination and possess sufficient financial resources to cover their brief stay in Namibia.
