S-EP — Sarawak Employment Pass (EP)

The Sarawak Employment Pass is a skilled work visa for professionals working in Sarawak state. It has two tiers: EP1 (higher-salaried professionals, RM 5,000+) and EP2 (mid-level, RM 3,000+). Applicants must be at least 27 years old and hold a job offer from a Sarawak-based employer.

EPs are granted for 1 to 5 years per grant, renewable by mutual employer agreement. Application fee is RM 2,000, with RM 125 processing and RM 200 annual pass fee. EP1 holders may bring dependants on dependent visas. Processing typically takes 30–90 days.
