Official Information

Overview

Sponsor-hosted training pass for industrial trainees at Malaysian factories or hotels, valid up to 6 months without work authorization.

The Professional Visit Pass (PVP) for Industrial Trainees is a short-term permit enabling foreign nationals to undergo structured training within Malaysian factories or hotels under a specific employer sponsor. Applicants must remain employed by an overseas company and be invited by a Malaysian organization to acquire skills unavailable in their home country.

Valid for up to 6 months, the PVP carries a fee of RM1,200 (excluding 8% SST) and is non-renewable. Dependents cannot accompany the visa holder, and spouses have no separate work rights. Processing takes approximately 5 working days (3 days for Tier 1, Tier 2, and Critical Sector companies as of 1 September 2024).

This visa is ideal for international employees of multinational corporations or hospitality groups seeking cross-border skills development through time-limited training programs.
