Overview

Multi-economy travel card granting pre-cleared, expedited entry to APEC member economies for business travelers, valid 5 years with 60–90 day stays.

The APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) is a regional initiative established under the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation framework to facilitate seamless business mobility. Officially launched to support the economic integration of the Asia-Pacific region, the card addresses the administrative burden and time-consuming nature of obtaining individual visas for frequent business travelers. By providing pre-cleared entry status across participating APEC economies, it effectively fills the gap for professionals who require rapid, multiple-entry access to various markets to conduct trade, investment, and corporate activities without the friction of repetitive visa applications.

This card is designed for high-frequency business travelers, including C-suite executives, investors, and senior professionals who regularly commute between APEC economies. To qualify, applicants must be Malaysian citizens with a valid passport and demonstrate a genuine, ongoing need for frequent international travel for business purposes. What makes the ABTC distinctive is its dual benefit: it acts as a multiple-entry visa for participating economies and grants holders access to dedicated 'APEC Lanes' at major international airports, ensuring significantly expedited immigration clearance compared to standard travel procedures.
