Overview

Permanent residency for non-EU nationals via €350k+ property (or €12k/yr rent), €40k admin fee, €28k–€58k government contribution and €2k NGO donation; 5-year card, renewable.

Malta's Permanent Residence Programme (MPRP) grants non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationals lifetime Maltese residency via a four-component investment: a €40,000 administration fee, a government contribution of €28,000 (property purchase) or €58,000 (rental), a €2,000 NGO donation, and a qualifying property held for five years.

Applicants must buy property of at least €350,000 (€300,000 in South Malta or Gozo) or lease at €12,000/year minimum (€10,000 in South/Gozo), and prove €500,000 in assets including €150,000 financial. Applications go through Residency Malta's four-tier due diligence via a licensed agent; the residence card is valid for five years and renewable.

This visa is ideal for affluent non-EU families seeking visa-free Schengen access and a stable EU residency base, with no minimum physical stay required.
