The Temporary Residence Permit for a Stateless Person is a legal mechanism established under the Law on Stateless Persons in Latvia. It provides a structured path for individuals who have been officially recognized as stateless by the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (OCMA) to reside legally in the country. This permit is exclusively for individuals who have successfully undergone the statelessness determination procedure in Latvia and have been granted the status of a stateless person. While the permit is initially temporary—valid for up to five years—it serves as a foundational step toward long-term integration.
