TRP - Volunteer (Leidimas laikinai gyventi – savanoris)

The TRP for volunteers is established under the Law on the Legal Status of Aliens, in accordance with EU frameworks that promote youth mobility and civic engagement through structured voluntary service programs. This permit fills the gap for individuals who wish to contribute to social, cultural, or humanitarian projects in Lithuania without engaging in traditional employment, ensuring that their participation in recognized voluntary schemes is supported by a clear and lawful residence status.

This permit is for participants in recognized voluntary service schemes, such as the European Voluntary Service (EVS) or other approved programs. It is ideal for young people and those dedicated to social causes who want to immerse themselves in the Lithuanian community. A key distinctive feature is that it is specifically tied to participation in a non-profit, structured program, allowing volunteers to reside in Lithuania for up to two years while focusing entirely on their humanitarian or community-based contributions.
