This status is intended for individuals who are financially independent and do not intend to enter the Lebanese labor market. Applicants must demonstrate significant financial stability, often through proof of substantial savings in a Lebanese bank or consistent income transfers from abroad. Because this permit is intended for those living on private means, the applicant is required to sign a formal, notarized commitment not to seek employment within Lebanon.
