Official Information

Overview

Visa for employees of international organizations such as the UN and WHO entering Cambodia at the formal invitation of the Royal Government.

The Official Visa (Type B) is a specialized visa category established by the Cambodian government to accommodate foreign nationals entering the country for official duties associated with international organizations. It is governed by agreements between the Kingdom of Cambodia and intergovernmental bodies, such as the United Nations, the WHO, and other recognized international entities. This visa fills the gap for non-diplomatic staff who are on official missions, providing a formal, fee-exempt status that recognizes their professional role and the importance of their work within the country's development or humanitarian sectors.

This visa is for employees of international organizations, including UN agencies, who are entering Cambodia for an official assignment. The ideal applicant is a professional staff member or consultant whose presence is requested by an organization with a formal status agreement with the Cambodian government. It is distinctive because it is issued on a gratis basis and is strictly tied to the performance of official duties. Applicants must provide an official invitation or letter from their organization, confirming the scope and duration of their mission in Cambodia.
