The e-Medical Attendant Visa is a specialized electronic visa designed for family members or caregivers accompanying a patient who is traveling to India on an e-Medical Visa. This category ensures that patients have the necessary support systems during their medical journey, allowing up to two attendants to accompany a single medical visa holder. By facilitating the presence of family or caregivers, this visa aims to provide a more comfortable and supportive environment for international patients undergoing treatment in India.
The fee for the e-Medical Attendant Visa is USD 75, matching that of the primary medical visa. Applicants are required to have a valid passport with at least six months of remaining validity and must provide proof of health insurance to cover their stay. Crucially, the application for this visa must be linked to the patient's medical visa, and attendants are generally expected to travel with the patient. This visa is granted for the same duration as the patient's medical visa, ensuring that caregivers can remain present throughout the entire course of the medical treatment and recovery process.
