Stamp 1G (Graduate / Spousal)

Stamp 1G is an Immigration Service Delivery permission for two cohorts: non-EEA graduates of Irish Level 8 or 9 awards seeking work under the Third Level Graduate Programme, and spouses or de facto partners of Critical Skills, General Employment, ICT permit holders, or Researchers on Hosting Agreements.

It grants employer-based work rights without a separate employment permit, but bars self-employment. Graduates get 12 months at Level 8 (7-year cap) or up to 24 months at Level 9+ (8-year cap); spouse permissions track the sponsor's permit term and renew annually, with Stamp 4 eligibility after 5 years on Stamp 1G. IRP registration costs EUR 300 at Burgh Quay.

This visa is ideal for recent Irish graduates testing the job market before sponsorship, or family of high-skilled permit holders wanting unrestricted employer-based work.
