Proof of conference registration/payment.

Letter from home employer or academic institution.

Six months of personal bank statements (or sponsor's statements plus sponsor letter if funded by another person).

Travel/medical insurance.

Proof of accommodation in Ireland (booking confirmation or host details).

Proof of travel/return arrangements.

Evidence of strong ties to home country.

Proof of visa fee payment.

Certified English or Irish translations for any document not originally in those languages.

Application Process

Create your visa application online via AVATS (select Short Stay (C), reason Conference/Event, journey type single or multiple).

Pay the visa application fee and note your Visa Application Transaction Number.

Print, sign and date the Application Summary Sheets and send them with your passport and supporting documents to the designated application office (Dublin visa office, international visa office, or Irish Embassy/Consulate).

Submit biometric information if requested.

Await a decision (typically around 8 weeks from when the office receives your documents).

If approved, the visa is placed in your passport and returned to you.
