Overview

1-year visa for Australian nationals aged 18-30 to work and travel in Indonesia under a bilateral youth exchange agreement.

The Work and Holiday Visa (Index E35A) is a specialized program for young Australian citizens aged 18 to 30, allowing them to live, travel, and work in Indonesia for up to one year. This program is designed to foster cultural exchange and professional development, enabling participants to immerse themselves in Indonesian society while gaining international work experience. It is a unique opportunity for young Australians to explore the country's diverse regions while legally supporting their stay through temporary employment.

Participants must meet specific educational and financial criteria, including holding a degree or having completed two years of university study and demonstrating sufficient funds for their initial stay. While the visa allows for work, there are specific regulations regarding employment, including the requirement to complete a Multiple Activity Reporting Process with immigration. The visa is non-extendable and requires a letter of support from the Australian government, ensuring that the program remains a structured and mutually beneficial cultural exchange initiative between the two nations.
