Overview

Temporary stay permit (1-5 years) for former Indonesian citizens who renounced citizenship and wish to return to reside in Indonesia.

The Ex-Indonesian Citizen Repatriation Visa (Index E32A/C/D) was established to provide a structured pathway for former Indonesian citizens who have renounced their nationality to return and reside in their country of origin. This visa fills a significant gap for the Indonesian diaspora, recognizing their historical and cultural ties to the nation. It allows these individuals to reconnect with their heritage, manage family affairs, or explore business opportunities without the constraints of standard tourist or short-term business visas, effectively bridging the gap between their current foreign citizenship and their Indonesian roots.

This visa is intended for former Indonesian citizens now holding foreign passports who wish to live in Indonesia for periods ranging from 1 to 5 years. It is ideal for retirees, those seeking to reconnect with family, or individuals looking to invest in the local economy. A distinctive aspect of this visa is its flexibility in duration and the specific documentation required, such as proof of former citizenship. While it generally restricts direct employment, it allows for various personal and investment-related activities, making it a unique tool for diaspora engagement and long-term residency.
