Overview

The H.11 Post-Study/Research Job Search Permit is a transitional residence permit that allows international graduates and researchers to remain in Greece for one year after completing their programs. This permit is specifically designed to provide a window of opportunity for individuals to search for employment or to establish a business that corresponds to the level of their completed studies or research. It reflects Greece's commitment to retaining highly qualified talent by allowing them to leverage their academic or research achievements within the local labor market.

To be eligible, applicants must transition from an existing H.1 (study) or H.3 (research) permit. During the one-year period, the holder must demonstrate that they are actively pursuing professional opportunities. After at least three months, they may be required to provide evidence of a realistic prospect of employment or entrepreneurship. This permit is a vital tool for international students and researchers who wish to bridge the gap between their academic life and their professional career in Greece, providing a legal pathway to settle and contribute to the country's economy.
