VTB — Transit Visa (Visa de Transbordement - VTB)

The Transit Visa, officially known as the Visa de Transbordement (VTB), is specifically designed for foreign nationals who are passing through Guinea while en route to a final destination in another country. This visa is essential for travelers who need to transfer between flights or transit through the country via land, ensuring they have legal authorization for their short stay. It is a strictly limited entry document, typically allowing for a stay of no more than three days, and is not intended for tourism, business activities, or any purpose other than facilitating necessary transit procedures.

To apply for the VTB, applicants must provide a valid passport with at least six months of remaining validity, a recent passport-sized photograph with a white background, and proof of onward travel, such as a confirmed airline ticket to their final destination. Depending on the traveler's itinerary, proof of a visa for the final destination may also be required. The fees for this visa vary based on the applicant's nationality. It is important to note that holders of this visa are generally expected to remain within designated transit areas or follow approved transit routes.
