Volunteer Work Permit

The Volunteer Work Permit is a dedicated pathway for non-citizens who intend to undertake unpaid volunteer activities in Fiji. Because the work is strictly voluntary, the application process does not require the same industry-specific labor market testing or endorsements that are often mandatory for paid employment visas. To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years of age and must have a placement confirmed by a recognized organization or project in Fiji. The applicant must provide evidence of the volunteer arrangement, including a letter from the host organization outlining the nature of the work and the duration of the stay. While the work is unpaid, volunteers must still demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to support themselves during their time in the country. The application fee is FJD 355.
