Visitor Permit

The Visitor Permit is a standard entry authorization issued to non-citizens who intend to visit Fiji for holiday purposes, such as sightseeing, attending recreational activities, visiting friends or family, or participating in conferences. For citizens of visa-exempt countries, this permit is typically granted upon arrival at the point of entry, provided they meet all necessary immigration requirements. The permit allows for a temporary stay, which can vary in duration but is generally granted for a period of up to four months. It is important to note that this permit is strictly for non-working visitors and does not grant the holder any right to seek or engage in employment while in the country.

To be eligible for a Visitor Permit, travelers must possess a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond their intended date of departure from Fiji. Additionally, visitors are required to provide evidence of sufficient funds to support their stay, a confirmed address or accommodation details, and proof of an onward or return ticket to their home country or another destination they are authorized to enter. While there is no specific application fee for the permit issued on arrival to visa-exempt nationals, travelers must ensure they have all supporting documentation ready for inspection by immigration officials upon arrival to facilitate a smooth entry process.
