Consultant Residence Permit (Konsultin oleskelulupa)

The Consultant Residence Permit is a temporary work authorization issued by Finnish Immigration (Migri) for foreign consultants providing specialized advisory services to Finnish organizations. Applicants must have a job offer as a consultant, hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and meet the EUR 3,937/month salary threshold.

The permit allows a maximum one-year stay; longer work requires applying for a residence permit for employed persons. Application fees are EUR 530 (electronic) or EUR 630 (paper) for first permits, and EUR 230/EUR 430 for extensions. Spouses work without restriction and dependents may reside. Processing takes approximately one month, occasionally extending to two.
