Overview

The Intra-Company Transfer (ICT) visa allows non-EU nationals employed by a multinational group to relocate temporarily to a Spanish entity within the same corporate group, as a manager, specialist, or trainee. Governed by Law 14/2013, it bypasses the standard labor market test and is processed by the UGE-CE unit.

Managers and specialists get up to 3 years, trainees up to 1 year, renewable for a further 2 years (5-year maximum). Accompanying family members are authorized to work without a separate permit. The permit can lead to long-term residence or conversion to Highly Qualified Worker status.

This visa is ideal for non-EU professionals employed by a multinational for at least 3 months who hold a degree or 3 years of relevant experience and are being deployed to a Spanish subsidiary.
