Au Pair Visa

The Spanish Au Pair visa lets young adults (17–30) live with a host family in Spain, providing limited childcare (max 5 hours/day) in exchange for accommodation and a small stipend. The program operates as a cultural exchange under Spain's immigration framework, not a standard labour contract.

The visa is valid for up to one year (the duration of the placement) and is renewable. Applicants must enrol in a Spanish language course for at least 20 hours per week. The EUR 80 fee is non-refundable; processing takes about one month. No PR pathway exists and holders cannot seek independent employment.

This visa is ideal for motivated young adults aged 17–30 who want to improve their Spanish while living with a local family and are not seeking formal employment.
