Overview

This scheme allows certain foreign nationals who lose their original grounds for residence in Denmark to continue staying and studying if they are enrolled in an educational program that leads to a job on Denmark's Positive Lists.

The Educational Attachment scheme is a safety-net permit for students whose original residency status has been revoked or expired. It allows them to complete their education provided the program aligns with Denmark's labor market needs. It is unique in that it waives the standard financial self-support requirements.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Enrolled at a publicly accredited educational institution in Denmark

Program must lead to a job on the Positive List for Skilled Work or Higher Education

Previous permit revoked/refused after 1 July 2024

Must apply within 7 days of previous permit decision

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Proof of fee payment

Copy of all pages of passport

Official enrolment documentation

Parental consent if under 18
