Overview

This residence permit is for non-EU/EEA nationals admitted to an approved basic school (primary/lower secondary, from 9th grade up) or a youth education program (such as high school/gymnasium) in Denmark.

This permit facilitates short-term study for international students in Danish basic or youth education programs. It is strictly limited to one year and does not permit employment or the accompaniment of family members. It is intended for cultural and educational exchange rather than long-term immigration.
