The German National Visa (Type D) for Medical Treatment allows non-EU nationals to enter Germany for medical care lasting more than 90 days. Applicants must present a confirmed appointment with a German facility, a doctor's certificate, proof of financial capacity to cover all costs, and travel health insurance.

Valid for up to one year, tailored to treatment duration. Fee is €75. No work authorization or PR pathway. Dependents may accompany if included in the financial proof. If treatment exceeds 90 days, a residence permit must be obtained from the local immigration office.
