M Visa (商贸签证)

The M Visa (Business Visa) was introduced in 2013 following the implementation of the new Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China. This visa was established to fill a specific gap in the immigration system by separating commercial and trade-related visits from the broader, non-commercial activities previously covered under the older F Visa category. By creating a dedicated business visa, the Chinese government aimed to streamline the entry process for international professionals while ensuring clearer regulatory oversight of commercial activities conducted by foreign nationals within the mainland.

This visa is intended for foreign professionals visiting China for commercial and trade activities, such as attending trade fairs, negotiating contracts, or meeting with business partners.
