Overview

The Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) grants Canadian permanent residence to foreign workers with a job offer from a designated employer in a participating rural community. Applicants need at least one year of related work experience, CLB language proficiency, and a high school diploma or foreign equivalent.

A community recommendation certificate is required before submitting the PR application. Spouses receive an open work permit to work in the same community; dependents are included in the PR application. Fees are CAD 990 (processing) plus CAD 600 (RPRF); processing typically takes 12 months.

This visa is ideal for foreign workers of any nationality who have secured a job offer in a rural Canadian community and want a community-backed pathway to permanent residence.
