PV2 / PNC — Provincial Nominee Program

Canada's Provincial Nominee Program lets provinces nominate foreign nationals whose skills, education, and work experience meet regional labour market needs. Each province runs its own streams — skilled workers, business owners, students — so qualification and processes vary significantly by province.

Nominees must intend to settle in the nominating province, applying provincially then to IRCC for PR. Fees: CAD 990 processing plus CAD 600 Right of Permanent Residence Fee. Express Entry nominees receive +600 CRS points, near-guaranteeing an invitation. Processing takes 7–14 months; spouses get open work permits.

This visa is ideal for internationally trained workers or graduates who want Canadian permanent residence and are willing to commit to a specific province.
