Overview

The Home Care Worker Immigration Pilot is a Canadian permanent residence pathway for foreign workers in home child care or home support roles. Applicants need a full-time job offer from a qualifying employer outside Quebec, CLB 4 language proficiency, and at least a high school diploma.

The pilot grants PR on arrival with no LMIA required from the employer. Fees are CAD 1,590 for the principal applicant (CAD 990 processing + CAD 600 right of permanent residence). Spouses and dependents are included; accompanying spouses may work. Intake is currently paused indefinitely.

This visa is ideal for overseas home care workers with a Canadian job offer who want a direct path to permanent residence without a labour market impact assessment.
