Official Information

Overview

Short-term visa for participation in sport, cultural, scientific, or educational activities and internships in Belarus.

The Cultural, Scientific & Sports Exchange Visa (Type C) is governed by the Law of the Republic of Belarus 'On Legal Status of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons' (January 4, 2010) and the Visa Regulations approved by the Council of Ministers (Decree No. 1065). This visa fills the gap for short-term, non-commercial engagement, allowing international participants to enter Belarus for specific collaborative activities that foster cultural, academic, and athletic ties without requiring a long-term residency permit.

This visa is designed for athletes, artists, scientists, students, and educators participating in organized events, competitions, or internships. It is distinctive because it requires formal visa support documentation—such as an official invitation from a registered Belarusian legal entity or a verbal note from an accredited diplomatic mission—ensuring that the applicant's presence is tied to a verified, legitimate event or institution.
