600 — Visitor Visa (Subclass 600)

The Visitor Visa (Subclass 600) is Australia's standard temporary entry visa for tourism, family visits, and short-term business activities. It covers applicants who don't qualify for the ETA or eVisitor, and is available under four streams: Tourist, Business Visitor, Sponsored Family, and Frequent Traveller.

Stays range from 3 to 12 months (up to 365 days); the visa is non-renewable and carries no PR pathway. Work is not permitted on any stream.
