Training Visa.
The Subclass 407 Training visa lets foreign nationals undertake structured workplace-based training in Australia. Three streams apply: professional development, completing an overseas qualification, and training for professional registration. Applicants need a sponsor, functional English, and must be 18+.
Stays are up to 2 years; not renewable. Work is restricted to approved training activities (Condition 8102). Partners and dependent children may be included; dependents over 18 can work up to 40 hours per fortnight. There is no pathway to permanent residency.
This visa is ideal for professionals and graduates who need occupation-specific training in Australia that is unavailable in their home country.
