The Autorización de Viaje Electrónica (AVE) is Argentina's electronic travel authorization for citizens of select countries who hold valid US, Canadian, or EU Schengen visas (B1/B2, J, O, P, E, or H-1B). The AVE streamlines short-term entry through an entirely online process without embassy visits.
The AVE is valid for 90 days, renewable once for an additional 90 days. Multiple entries are permitted within each validity window. The USD 400 fee covers expedited processing, typically completed within 20 business days. Applicants need a valid passport with 6+ months validity, evidence of prior required-visa use, and a credit/debit card.
This visa is ideal for professionals from China, Russia, or Venezuela engaged in short-term tourism or business consultations with one of the specified US visa categories.
